Add Folds
Working in one direction, create folds of fabric from the burlap evenly spaced like so in a ring. The last fold will lay flat as seen in the photo below in the 7 o'clock position.

Make a Ring
It may take a bit of time to get the folds just right. The top of the folds should be angled just a bit to form a ring in the center, as seen here.

Add Velcro
Once the tree skirt is put into the ring, it's time to add the Velcro. Starting at your first fold, gently pull it back and add the velcro to the fold. Push and secure the fold into place.

Keep It Together
After you Velcro under the fold, gently open the top of the same fold and put a little piece of Velcro inside the fold, as shown here. Then return the fold to the normal position and move on to the next fold to repeat the process.

Repeat for All Folds
Work your way around the entire tree skirt applying Velcro underneath each fold and in between. This will help the tree skirt keep its shape and also allow you to reassemble it from year to year.

Final Touches
For the last fold, there will be two sides that require velcro. Simply pull back the fold on the left first and apply the Velcro in the same fashion as you did for the other folds on the skirt.

To add the tree skirt around your Christmas tree simply release the Velcro by the double fold. Slide the skirt around the tree and then reattach the Velcro. To care for your tree skirt, spot clean only is recommended.
