Santa's coming down the chimney, but everyone else is entering through the front door. "Your front door is the first and last impression of your home," says lifestyle expert James Farmer. "No matter now Scrooge-ish you are, you can always put up a wreath." 

Traditional wreaths are wonderful, but there are plenty of ways to greet guests with intrigue and interest. "I've seen people use taxidermy, feathers, antlers, figurines and a Santa's sleigh worth of festive decor to make it the calling card of the home," Farmer says.
