Coastal Chic
A white beadboard vanity adds a modern rustic feel to this bright coastal bathroom, providing plenty of storage for the double-sink design. Simple hardware on the cabinets and drawers keeps the look fresh and understated.
Colorful Contemporary
"There are many options to consider when choosing a vanity," says designer Judith Balis. "They are the workhorse of the bathroom and need to be equal parts functional and beautiful."
"This was a children's bathroom, and [since] I covered the back wall with a sophisticated Carrera marble tile, I selected a fun, bold color to keep it feeling young, playful and fresh," Judith says.
Vintage Appeal
To create a vintage vibe in this guest bathroom, a distressed sofa table was used to create a vanity with the feel of an antique washstand. Finished off with marble corbels and a shelf, this one-of-a-kind double vanity is topped with a pair of round mirrors and simple sconces to keep the space balanced.
Cottage Chic
From its classic lines and dark wood to the woven cane panels and brushed fixtures, this stunning vanity sets the stage for a charming cottage-style powder room. The neutral shiplap wall, along with the distressed wood mirror and slim sconces, works to perfectly offset the centerpiece vanity.
Gorgeous Glam
Gleaming mirrored panels on the cabinets and drawers of this vanity bring an air of glamour to this elegant bathroom. The mirrors work to add more light and brightness to the space, while perfectly balancing out the marble countertops, shaded sconces and shapely faucets.
Dramatic Design
Custom-built for the dramatic bathroom off of the home theater, "The design [of this vanity] was specifically meant to have a highly theatrical effect," says designer Laurie Haefele.
"It is made of solid white acrylic with solid black acrylic stripes. The outside edge corner drawers are mitered to the side panels which adds to the clean lines and crisp angles. The drawer pulls are flush inset and mimic the round detail on the lighting fixture," Laurie says. Even the high-sheen faucet boasts black handles to match the impactful design.
Modern Minimalistic
In keeping with the pared-down aesthetic of this light and bright kid's bathroom, a minimalistic floating vanity in pale wood adds functionality to the space without feeling bulky or overwhelming.
Deco Details
"For this space, we wanted the vanity to look like a one-of-a-kind, custom furniture piece. We knew this vanity was integral to the overall bathroom design as it is the focal point of the room. It sets the mood for the glamorous aesthetic of the space," says Raquel Skrobarczyk of Heather Scott Home & Design.
"The vanity evokes an art deco style with its dramatic curves and bold contrasting finish. The glossy black vanity with glitzy gold details adds some drama and grandeur to the powder bath."
Rustic Luxe
Creating a zen-like feel in this master bath, a natural wood structure offers storage as well as wall space to accommodate a dual vanity. Simple mirrors are offset with slim, contemporary vertical lights, while the white vanity top with circular vessel sinks keeps the space feeling clean and spa-like.
Updated Classic
"Choosing the right vanity can set the stage for your bathroom design," says designer Kerrie Kelly. "Since it can be such a large and functional piece, think of it as the centerpiece anchoring the details of your tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware and lighting."
"The vanity we chose for this project provides a classic aesthetic using a 'new neutral' hue of navy blue paired with thoughtful design detail for contrast and interest," Kerrie says.
Modern Eclectic
Everything isn't always black and white, as shown here in a boldly-striped bath with a unique, gray vanity. The clever reptile print on the statement piece adds unexpected texture while providing ample storage in this eclectic space.
Industrial Flair
Adding an undeniable industrial air to an otherwise clean and modern space, an eye-catching, antique iron machine serves as a vanity base. Beneath a thick marble top and squared-off vessel sink, the mechanical artifact becomes an unexpectedly unique centerpiece.
Fanciful Feel
"The young client we designed for was well traveled and loved airplanes, so we wanted to create a bathroom to reflect that," says designer Dahlia Mahmood. "Choosing the right vanity was integral to the overall bathroom design."
Along with travel stamps and airplane motifs, the unique vanity added to the sky-high fantasy. "The vanity that we sourced resembled the shape of a cloud in the color of a soft, pale blue sky with a marble top, which conveyed a fanciful and whimsical style," Dahlia says.
True Traditional
Paired with classic yellow-striped wallpaper, a sophisticated hardwood vanity works to solidify and add warmth to this bathroom's gorgeous traditional style. Marble atop the mirrors and on the backsplash and floor are in keeping with the room's effortlessly elegant appeal.
Woodsy Warmth
Warm and welcoming, this bathroom's rustic style is grounded by the weathered, reclaimed wood vanity. A thin marble countertop brings out the gray tones in the wood while adding just a hint of luxury. The vintage ladder, exposed beams and a wood framed mirror finish off this stunning style.
Romantic Feminine
Ornate and feminine with a hint of French country appeal, this exquisite vanity brings a luxurious touch to the large, feminine bathroom. The gilded accents of the mirror and sconces adds another luxe layer to the softly-hued room.
Midcentury Modern
With a blue countertop that beautifully complements this bathroom's softly-hued walls, the midcentury modern vanity is a showstopping centerpiece in this otherwise simply designed space. Basic, wood-framed mirrors enhance the vanity's wooden warmth without being overwhelming.
Nautical Vibes
In this nautical-themed bathroom, "The beadboard inlay on the cabinets is a very traditional detail found throughout summer homes since the 1900s," says Laurie Keene of DiMauro Architects.
For a warmer, more relaxed feel in the space, the countertop "is made of solid teak with six to seven coats of high-gloss spar varnish — the same material and finish you'd traditionally find on a boat," Laurie says.
An Asian Air
The streamlined silhouette of the vanity, complete with complementary wood insets, instills a subtle Asian influence in this elegant bathroom. Topped off with a minimalistic square vessel sink, the vanity is the showpiece in this space, offering an artisinal air and plenty of storage.
Transitional Twist
Against a subway-tiled wall featuring cool silver-framed mirrors, a lightly-distressed black vanity grounds this eye-catching transitional design. A duo of square vessel sinks with sleek stainless steel fixtures tops off this beautiful, useful piece.
