In the Entryway
Stow scarves, hats, dog leashes, reusable grocery bags and more in a stylish built-in bench with drawers.
Tall, deep drawers hold larger items like snow boots, baby carriers and kids' bags. Don't forget to hang hooks and shelves above the bench for extra storage.
Alternatively, slide baskets underneath a bench when built-ins aren't an option.
Or, just skip baskets and built-ins all together! Simply leave shoes neatly underneath a stylish bench and set purses and bags on top. Having a soft landing for weary tushes by the door never hurts either.
A standalone option like this one works in just about any room of the house. However, we like it in the entryway to add style and storage. This design will keep a foyer clutter-free thanks to the hidden trunk feature.
In the Living Room
Bench, ottoman, footrest - whatever you want to call it, a piece of furniture that serves as a seat and concealed storage is always a win. Keep blankets, board games or kids' toys in a cushioned storage bench for a functional, easy-on-the-eyes decluttering solution.
Flex your creative muscles and repurpose a beautiful antique bench as side table complete with room for magazine storage underneath.
Add extra seating and storage all at once with the addition of a beautiful window seat bench. Add drawers or baskets underneath to hold items that are unsightly or infrequently used.
In the Kitchen
For small spaces, mobile benches can easily be tucked underneath an island when not in use or rolled into the living area for extra seating. Upholstered seats conceal storage space for plasticware or cookbooks.
Really, is there anything nicer than a piece of furniture that does double-duty? Store heavy-duty serveware, table linens or seasonal decor in dining room storage bench drawers.
In the Bedroom
Placing a bench at the end of the bed just completes a bedroom, doesn't it?
Baskets not only bring a lovely natural, textured element to a soft space, like the bedroom, but they also hold miscellaneous items.
There's really no such thing as too many drawers in the bedroom.
Set up an adorable little reading nook in a child's room with a storage bench and wall shelves. Baskets tucked into the bench keep toys organized while the wall shelves create a nice book display.
Blessed with a walk-in closet? Throw a storage bench in there!
In the Bathroom
Something about a bathroom storage bench just feels... luxurious, you know?
A shower bench wasn't on your must-have list until now, was it? Recreate the look at home with a teak one that can be moved around as needed.
Just tuck some baskets underneath the bench seat and ta-da! - instant storage opportunity.
In the Great Outdoors
Gardening tools, dog toys, seasonal items, kids' water games - you name it, an outdoor storage bench can stow it while providing seating, too.
