Materials and Tools:
wallpaper
heavy-duty wallpaper paste
foam paint roller
seam roller
sponges
utility knife
measuring tape
scissors
wide metal putty knife
Steps:
1. Measure the length of the strip needed. To continue papering around an inner corner, put the measuring tape flush in the corner and overlap around the next corner by about one inch. Cut the wall covering to length and apply paste to the back. Be careful to not get too much paste on the front of the paper. When the piece is coated, go right to the wall
2. Have someone help you hang the paper and start flush in the corner. Line the paper up with the edge of the piece just below it and smooth the piece in place with your hands rather than plastic wallpaper smoother. Make sure the edge is adhering around the corner and use a seam roller.
3. Wipe off any excess glue, and then repeat the steps above for the next piece.
4. To get the paper flush with the molding or ceiling, cut the top strip the same length as the previous one, but shave the width down to about an inch or so wider than the space left on the wall. Paste and hang as above, and then hold a putty knife as close to the bottom edge of the crown molding as possible and trim the paper using a utility knife. Note: Change the blade often to ensure clean cuts.
