Luxurious Bathroom Makeovers From Our Stars
HGTV designers know a thing or two about creating luxurious bathrooms. Relax into these spa-worthy retreats and discover how to take your bathroom from blah to beautiful.
Punctuated in Tile
Uber spacious and full of light, this grand bathroom is the best way to begin and end your day. Designer Jonathan Scott of Brother Vs. Brother combines two different geometric patterns in the walk-in shower and uses a graphic gray and white marble tile for the floors. The copper-lined clawfoot bathtub is an opulent spot to relax after a long day.
Ready to Soothe
Nickel-gap wood paneling sets the scene for this cozy-meets-luxe bathroom. Designer Leanne Ford of Restored by the Fords layers in rustic woods, antique mirrors and a black and white double farmhouse sink. The sleek soaker tub is made for true relaxation and delivers a moment of modern style.

Invigorating Color
Eye-catching cool green and warm gray mix in this guest bathroom designed by Brian Patrick Flynn for HGTV Dream Home 2021. Two polished nickel swing arm sconces and modern mirrors with thin white frames hang above the double vanity, while the bathroom's marble-look porcelain tile floor coordinates with the shower walls.

Bathing in Bliss
Oversized floral wallpaper brings movement and pattern to this warm, inviting bathroom designed by Mina Starsiak Hawk of Rock the Block. Rustic herringbone wood floors and a dark gray vanity add depth and warmth to the space, while a polished soaker tub brings in a note of contemporary style.
Modern Marble
Drew and Jonathan Scott of Celebrity IOU help LeAnn Rimes give back to her biggest supporter and confidant, Roger. The newly reoriented bathroom makes better use of the home's square footage while making it less obvious there's a full bathroom near the kitchen. With luxurious floor-to-ceiling Italian marble on the walls and contrasting black Spanish marble on the floors, this remodeled bathroom is the epitome of modern luxury and style.
Soothing Haven
The main bathroom of HGTV Smart Home 2021 designed by Tiffany Brooks is a relaxing haven in soothing tones of white and soft sea glass green. A large soaker tub is a perfect spot to wash away the day's stresses, while rose gold accents and eye-catching floor tiles add chic visual interest to the inviting space.
Fresh Farmhouse
As seen on Home Town, Ben and Erin Napier transformed a previously dark and dirty bathroom into a bright, clean and inviting space. A doorway and section of the wall were sacrificed to allow the expansion of the bathroom's footprint. The old tile, linoleum and fixtures were all removed, making room for a 1920s-vintage clawfoot tub with shower hoop, new fixtures and custom open shelving.
Glitz and Glam
Designers David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks transformed their Rock the Block main bathroom into a show-stopping space brimming with glitz and glam. Dramatic black subway tile is punctuated by the white floor tile, creating a tuxedo-like effect. Floor-to-ceiling tile flows throughout the whole bathroom with a 4-foot shower on one side and a sleek freestanding bathtub on the other. "It's a movie star bathroom," said David.
Rejuvenating Oasis
Relax and rejuvenate in the impressive main bathroom of HGTV Urban Oasis 2021 — a stylish spa-like space with an open shower, freestanding tub and chic curated gallery wall. The star of the show, however, is the stunning reeded floating double vanity in terra cotta that designer Brian Patrick Flynn calls the most talked-about feature in the house. The rich color, along with the brass tones of the fixtures, adds warmth to the white bathroom.
Juxtapose With Black and White
Distinct veining in the marble creates an instantly graphic feel to this oh-so-chic bathroom. Designer Alison Victoria of Windy City Rehab uses the marble as a jumping-off point to pull together crisp white cabinets with matte black fixtures and hardware. Tiny hexagon tiles add patterned style underfoot.
So Much Storage
Forget about double sinks — this bathroom renovation features double storage, too. Bathrooms often lack enough drawer space, so designer Tiffany Brooks of $50K Three Ways made it a priority with symmetrical linen cabinets, drawers and under-sink cabinets all in a natural wood finish.
Soak in the Beauty
Designed by Brian Patrick Flynn for HGTV Urban Oasis 2020, a sliding glass door with a frameless design separates the vanity area from this main bathroom's wet room that features a clawfoot tub and inviting rain showerhead. The different shades of blue used for the custom-made double vanity coordinate with the blue walls in the adjoining main bedroom.
Purely Cottage
Beadboard wainscoting, antique-inspired lighting and a furniture-like vanity with acrylic knobs all combine for a lovely-in-white bathroom. Designer Sarah Richardson of Sarah Off the Grid incorporates a contemporary soaker tub and a mosaic tile border around the floor to modernize the look.
Embrace the Extravagant
Marble reigns supreme in this expansive en suite bathroom. The luxe material wraps around the room, surrounds the bathtub and tops the floating vanity. Designer Drew Scott of Brother Vs. Brother lays gray and white tiles in an oversized diamond pattern. Built-in cabinets flank the bathtub to provide hidden storage, while industrial-style shelving keeps the most-used items on hand.
Say Hello to Casual Contemporary
Southwest-inspired tiles ground this chic bathroom in designer Christina Haack's home. The Christina on the Coast host pairs linear gold pulls with a modernized Shaker cabinet. Elongated tiles create a crisp white backsplash as well as flow from floor to ceiling. Old-school sconces illuminate the matching round mirrors.

Go for One-of-a-Kind
Talk about making a statement. Designer Leanne Ford of Rock the Block designs a shower that is a complete centerpiece. The straight-through line of sight delivers an open aesthetic that would be hard to replicate. Artisanal lights illuminate the clean-lined basin sinks and wall-mounted faucets.
Add Style Underfoot
Wow-worthy and functional, this spacious main bathroom is a true escape. Designer Jasmine Roth from Rock the Block creates a statement wall with an extra-long vanity in slate gray, sophisticated backsplash of oversized tiles and ultra-modern light fixtures. Don't forget to look down. Roth added a touch of her favorite coastal style with mint green flooring.
Use Diverse Finishes
For HGTV Dream Home 2018, designer Brian Patrick Flynn introduces a brilliant white scene. Texture and a variety of materials — from the penny round shower wall to the marble floors — bring in elegant interest. The glass walk-in shower keeps the space open and bright, and a wrought iron and rope chandelier introduce a nautical note to the space.
Spanish Influence
Designer Erin Napier of Home Town radically transformed this main bathroom with a new marble-topped double vanity and a luxury walk-in shower featuring an arched doorway, shower bench, marble walls and Spanish-style tile floor. "It's the biggest and coolest shower we've ever done," Erin said.
All One Hue
This monochromatic bathroom is a study in gray. Designers Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa of Flip or Flop use the single shade to visually max out this on-the-small-side bathroom. Subway tiles form the shower walls and pair with small tiles laid in a herringbone pattern for the floor.

Echo the Home's History
Contemporary amenities mix with Old World style in the main bathroom of this historic home renovation. Designers Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E. Laine of Good Bones wanted to incorporate elements that reflect the era of the home. Floor tiles pick up the shade of the slate blue walls and feature a distressed hand-painted design, while a gray double vanity is clad in a marble top.
Look for Practical + Stylish Solutions
Designer Christina Haack of Christina on the Coast gets the look of real wood in this bathroom without the fear of water damage since it's actually vinyl. The sleek freestanding bathtub is surrounded by a half-wall of hexagon tiles, a stylish and practical solution for protecting the walls.
Start From the Stripes Up
An unexpected pairing lends this bathroom an eclectically modern vibe. Designer Jillian Harris of Love It or List It grounds the space in striped tiles, and a butcher block countertop brings warmth into the cool palette.
Full-On Luxury
Designer Alison Victoria of Rock the Block creates a stunning focal wall with tiny mosaics. On the opposite wall, a pair of crisp vanities are bedecked in burnished gold hardware and matte black fixtures. Large-scale antiqued mirrors are not only impressive on their own, but they also visually enlarge the space.
Warm It Up
Not all bathrooms have to be cool whites and grays. Designer Jillian Harris of Love It or List It shows how warm and inviting browns, mochas and tawny shades are in this traditional bathroom. A wall-mounted towel warmer gives the homeowners that extra touch of extravagance.
Bathed in Color
A playful shade of blue-green takes this vanity from boring to standout. Designers Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E. Laine of Good Bones installed a reclaimed wood shelf next to the tub for holding bath-time necessities and making the space beautiful with candles and classic artwork.

Add a Personal Touch
Classic materials merge in this sophisticated bathroom retreat, but there are a few surprises. Designer Jasmine Roth of Help! I Wrecked My House uses a black-and-white photo of the homeowners to create a custom mural — a truly individual accent. Additionally, she incorporates hidden storage, such as the pop-out drawer in the tub surround.
Luxurious Gray Retreat
Cool and chic, this master bathroom designed by Sarah Richardson of Sarah's House mixes marble with other natural stone elements. A pair of sleek hexagonal mirrors hang above a custom double vanity while a freestanding tub brings a contemporary feel to the space.
Modern Design, Modern Conveniences
This modern bathroom feels like a soothing spa. Designer Candice Olson of Candice Tells All fills the space with luxurious amenities, including heated flooring, a deep soaker tub and a two-person rain showerhead. For wow factor, Candice hangs faceted chains as a window treatment behind the tub.
Posh Hardware
The right hardware takes your bathroom to the next level. Designer Sarah Richardson of Sarah's House selects sleek chrome shower fixtures and faucets for this contemporary bathroom. To create a refined style, she uses glass mosaic tiles in the shower and a marble countertop for the vanity.
