About the Kitchen:
As a New York City resident, interior designer Vern Yip knows all too well the challenges faced by apartment dwellers: too little space coupled with too much stuff. "I know that everything has to be multifunctional,” adds Vern. “Things just can’t occupy space.” In keeping with that motto, Vern designed furnishings that redefine the notion of kitchen. The dining table converts into a desk, for instance, and sleek cabinetry with furniture styling conceals hard-working appliances. Drawers and trays recess and cabinets close to set the stage for home entertaining.
