About the Master Bedroom:
When house planner Jack Thomasson first spied a black patent leather bed with a steel canopy, he knew it was perfect for the HGTV Urban Oasis 2012 master bedroom. Interior designer Lindsay Pumpa, charged with creating a light and airy sleeping environment, had her doubts. "How am I going to make this black bed not be this lumbering mass? It's an aggressive bed," says Lindsay, recalling early struggles over the design plan. After discovering a cream version and dying leather to match living room upholstery, a vision for the room easily unfolded.
