A warm, cozy respite, the kitchen showcases Arts and Crafts-style maple cabinetry, designed to maximize storage space. A neutral quartz countertop references the sandy shores of Chicago’s beachfront, while the mosaic tile backsplash recalls Frank Lloyd Wright’s own emphasis on linear shapes. “Everything in the unit is functional but also aesthetically appropriate,” says interior designer Vern Yip.
