All About
Hosting House Detective and reZONED is a perfect job for this son of a Michigan homebuilder.
Tony Frassrand has been hanging around construction sites as long as he can remember. His overnight campouts as a kid often meant stretching out in sleeping bags under open skies in one of the framed houses his father was building. Later on he would take summer jobs on one of his father's crews, slinging plywood and drywall.
Eventually he traded in his hammer for a microphone, starting as a play-by-play announcer for the college network at the University of Miami. After graduating with a degree in broadcast-journalism, he spent more than a decade at CNN and CNN Headline News. His duties there included news writer, producer, correspondent and anchor. Tony hosted the eight-time Emmy-nominated CNN Newsroom, a news show aimed at teens. He also worked on the TBS educational series Turner Adventures. Besides taking him around the world for on-location shoots, the show also earned Tony his first Emmy Award as a host.
Tony made his debut on HGTV hosting the pet-lover's favorite special Pet Palaces. Besides his work as a commercial actor, he enjoys hiking the great outdoors and playing guitar in local coffee houses.
