Episode HSPR-101
Product Ideas
David Tarrant's journey begins in one of the world's most spectacular cities, Cape Town, and takes him through the most lush and fascinating of floral kingdoms. From Africa's southernmost point--the point where two oceans collide--he heads north. Away from the city, past dramatic cliffs and crashing surf, he passes through lush pasturelands and into the barren African desert. Here, just south of the Namibian border, Tarrant hopes to find the spring display he's been dreaming of for years, the brief but breathtaking spring display of the Namaqualand daisies. But the weather isn't co-operating. It's cold, dark and pouring rain. Refusing to give up, Tarrant wanders the soggy desert patiently hoping the weather will change. Finally the sun comes out and his dream is fulfilled--he has found one of Namaqualand's famous "fields of gold."
