1. Look for Festive Options

As the seasons change, your coffee selection should, too. This year, look for festive options like Starbucks® Holiday Blend coffee to share with friends and family. The perfect combination of Latin American and Indonesian beans, this smooth, medium roast coffee is a real crowd-pleaser with its sweet maple notes. It’s a wonderful way to bring your loved ones together around the fire, the kitchen table, or any place that could use a little extra holiday cheer.

2. Create a Warm, Welcoming Space

Everyone loves the smell of coffee. So if you want a quick way to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in your home this holiday season, simply start brewing! Just make sure you've got enough ground coffee on hand, because once your guests catch the aroma of a freshly brewed batch — especially a sweet holiday blend — everyone is going to want a cup. Or three!

3. Perfect Your Brew

When enjoying a cup with those you cherish most, you want only the best. Luckily, when you start with high-quality coffee, it’s easy to brew a rich flavorful cup. Be sure to use fresh, cool water along with the proper grind setting for your coffee maker. And always check the package for instructions and brewing proportions. For most coffees, including Starbucks® Holiday Blend coffee, the suggested ratio is 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 fluid-ounces of water.

4. Customize Your Cup with a Flavor-Filled Ornament

Ornaments make for memorable holiday gifts. And they’re even more special when they’re homemade and filled with festive coffee flavorings. Personalize an ornament for your coffee-loving friends by using a kitchen funnel to fill a clear ornament with a festive blend like Peppermint Mocha (equal parts chocolate chip, crushed peppermint, candies, and mini marshmallows); Winter Spice (white chocolate chips, a little bit of cinnamon, and a pinch of sugar and nutmeg); or Dark Chocolate (chocolate chips, cocoa powder and colored sprinkles). Use holiday gift tags to create labels with instructions. Put out the ornaments along with the coffee at your holiday gathering, or give them as gifts with a bag of Starbucks® Holiday Blend coffee.

5. Make K-Cup® Pod Favors or Table Toppers

You can’t go wrong with edible (or drinkable) holiday gifts or favors. For the friend who loves her Keurig® brewer, consider crafting Starbucks® Holiday Blend K-Cup® Pod Snowmen. With construction paper, colorful ribbon and markers, three stacked and tied Starbucks® Holiday Blend K-Cups® Pods are transformed into an adorable, festive snowman. In addition to gifts, they make perfect stocking stuffers, and can even be personalized to create fun favors or welcoming place markers for friends and family at your holiday table.

6. Thoughtfully Pair Your Perfect Cup

When it comes to pairing good coffee with good food for your holiday festivities, there’s a simple trick: look at the tasting notes on the coffee packaging. For example, Starbucks® Holiday Blend coffee features sweet maple notes, so it would pair equally well with a potato-and-egg breakfast casserole with fresh sage, or Christmas morning waffles. Starbucks® Pike Place® Roast coffee has subtle notes of cocoa and toasted nuts and is a great match for coffee cake, chocolates, or cinnamon rolls. And you can even pair your favorite flavored coffees like Starbucks® Peppermint Mocha coffee; just consider what flavors complement the more unique flavor, peppermint. Think: chocolate, vanilla, or something sweet like cookies.
