From the dining room to the new office, the room transformations seen on HGTV's Welcome Back Potter are inspiring, to say the least.

BEFORE: Dining Room

The home's original wallpaper from when Monica and her sisters lived there 30 years ago still covered the dining room when they bought it back to restore.

AFTER: Dining Room

A new chandelier and refinished floors give the dining room a fresh facelift from top to bottom.

BEFORE: Dining Room

The dining room's original built-in was needed some polishing but was in remarkable shape.

AFTER: Dining Room

The sisters removed a wall to create an open floor on the main floor and help the kitchen flow into the newly brightened up dining room.

AFTER: Dining Room

Another awesome find: The family's original dining table was still in the house. The sisters did a whitewash on it and, with the help of their mom, Nancy, reupholstered the chairs.

AFTER: Dining Room

Monica and her sister Jessica preserved the original wallpaper in frame form for the dining room. Find the how-to, here.

AFTER: Dining Room

The family matriarch, Nancy, was delighted to see her original dining table (which she confessed to hating at the time) refinished and included in the final design.

BEFORE: Kitchen

The old kitchen needed to be gutted, from top to bottom.

BEFORE: Kitchen

The custom kitchen island and handmade light fixture create a much-needed focal point for the modernized and updated kitchen.

BEFORE: Kitchen

With plenty of square footage but not so much counterspace, the kitchen was basically a blank slate for Monica and her sisters to design for their ever-growing family.

AFTER: Kitchen

The new open floor plan allows for much more cabinetry and counterspace.

BEFORE: Living Room

The fireplace was structurally sound but needed a touch of love. The mirror above the mantle was in the family's living room when Monica and her sisters were growing up.

AFTER: Living Room

For a touch of nostalgia, the sisters kept the original mirror above the fireplace but in a frame that matched the room's new design.

BEFORE: Living Room

There are some original, beautiful hardwood floors somewhere under there.

AFTER: Living Room

Found them! The sisters sanded and refinished the living room floors themselves during the reno process.

BEFORE: Living Room

The living room felt a bit tight and closed off from much of the main floor.

AFTER: Living Room

Brand new french doors out to the back porch create an entirely different vibe for the living room, one of the most crucial gathering spots for this family.

BEFORE: Entryway

The carpet on the main stairs was a sight to see for the sisters, who had a hard time keeping it together while pulling it up.

AFTER: Entryway

Kerry installed new decal designs on the steps to brighten up the front entrance, and Monica designed this coat rack and storage seat for storing necessary Cleveland winter outerwear.

BEFORE: Office

For their parents' former master bedroom, the sisters wanted to create a usable space for everyone in the family.

AFTER: Office

This custom cabinet from a carpenter who is a friend of the family has a fun surprise.

AFTER: Office

Murphy bed!

BEFORE: Office

The former master bedroom was in excellent condition when the sisters bought the house back.

AFTER: Office

New furniture pieces, wainscoting on the walls and custom lighting totally transform the former master bedroom into a functional office and guest room for the sisters and their families.
