In Search of Space

After nailing down a suburban home that checks all of the homeowners’ boxes, it’s time for Jonathan and Drew to transform the fixer-upper house into a functional home for this growing family.

Ready for Reno

The Property Brothers ran across some major roadblocks during their reno, including necessary repairs to the foundation and roof. But that didn't stop them from creating a gorgeous home, fit for the stylish homeowners.

Living Room, Before

Before the Property Brothers arrived on the scene, this living room was dreary, uninviting and certainly not ideal for entertaining.

Living Room, After

Now, the living room is filled with warm wood floors, chic and light furniture, plus elegant blue accents. Thanks to the color scheme and a fresh coat of paint, the new space feels much more open and airy.

Living Room, Before

This sad, outdated fireplace wasn't suited for the needs of a modern family.

Living Room, After

The Property Brothers opted for a floor-to-ceiling fireplace made of rich, multi-toned wood, creating a warm and welcoming focal point in the room. Plus accessories like a vintage chest and midcentury modern glass coffee table add a stylish blend of old and new to the space.

Elegant Seating

Just below this large, bright window, two matching vintage chairs add stylish seating options to the living room. The white-painted wood and light blue upholstery create a crisp look, perfectly suited for the room.

Subtle Style

This large white and blue area rug keeps the room feeling light, while the subtle pattern adds an extra touch of visual interest to the room.

Something Blue

Behind the couch, this light-wood console table allows for extra space to display funky yet chic accessories, like a geode and metal candlesticks.

Worldly Wonders

On the other side of the living room, Jonathan and Drew added this additional seating area, satisfying the homeowners needs for ample entertainment space.

Dining Room, Before

With massive windows and a vaulted ceiling, this dining room boasted plenty of design potential.

Dining Room, After

The Property Brothers exceeded expectations with this gorgeous country-style dining room, equipped with a large wood farm table and whitewashed dining chairs.

Country Chairs

These classic Windsor chairs are the perfect accompaniment to this classic farm table. And the white paint gives them an extra dose of charm.

Dining Details

Adorned with modern candlesticks and vibrant tulips, this dining table is ready for guests.

Window Seating

The Property Brothers didn't let any space go underutilized in this country home. They even added neutral-toned pillows to sit in the window, creating a shallow window seat.

Design by Drew

Drew poses in the lovely renovated dining room, basking in the light of the unique chandelier he chose for over the dining table.

Contrasting Credenza

On the other side of the dining room, a dark credenza contrasts all the light tones in the space. It also offers extra storage space for dishes and cutlery.

More Dining Space

In the next room, the Property Brothers worked even more reno magic on the kitchen dining area. This space is perfect for family breakfasts or more casual meals.

Country Chic

A gray cotton runner adds some light contrast to the rich wood table and looks lovely when paired with a galvanized metal flower pot filled with orange and white blooms.

Delicious Design

In the next room, the Property Brothers crafted a stylish kitchen, ideal for entertaining.

Vintage Bar Stools

In case there wasn't enough seating space, these industrial bar stools add additional options, plus some rugged charm to the kitchen island.

Industrial Lighting

This modern lighting fixture above the island creates the sense of exposed bulbs, with a slightly more sophisticated style.

Bright White

The Property Brothers opted to stick with a monochromatic scheme in the kitchen, keeping the space open and bright. But there's still a hint of contrast, thanks to dark metal hardware and stainless steel appliances.

Stylish Accessories

Jonathan and Drew also included sophisticated and charming accents, like red tulips, a vintage cutting board, and a selection of wine.

Always the Perfectionist

Don't mind Jonathan, he's just straightening up his kitchen accessories.

Cozy Retreat

Upstairs, the Property Brothers created a perfect hideaway for the Jessica and Nathan to close out the day. While this attic space could easily feel cramped, the strategic choice of colors and patterns allow the space to feel much more expansive.

Fun and Funky Chairs

These adorable folding chairs, covered in vibrant quilted upholstery, create the perfect seating area at the end of the homeowners' bed.

Waste Not

Wasting no space, the Property Brothers took advantage of this nook for blanket storage and a laundry basket.

Colorful Accents

The bold colors from the folding chairs and quilt are carried to the bed, thanks to these bright red throw pillows. And the funky charm of the bedding is balanced by modern side tables and geometric lamps.

Charmed Family

After achieving all of the homeowners' hopes and dreams for their new home, the Property Brothers can officially call this reno a win. Game. Set. Match!
