Chalk Paint Outlines Play Space

As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, the design for the Jowett family's basement uses chalk pain to denote the play areas for the kids.

Basement Family Room with Chalk Paint for Creativity

As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, the Jowett family's basement gets a huge redesign. The use of white pickets in the staircase echoes the open feeling; contrasted by black chalk paint, adding a dynamic architectural detail to the room. Black chalk paint is repeated on the doors of the utility closet giving the kids loads of room for creativity.

Modern Open Concept Kitchen

Hilary's design on this open concept kitchen for HGTV's hit show Love It or List It incorporates clean lines and subtle contrast. From the clean, white cabinets to the gray backsplash and countertop, this kitchen uses its neutral colors to give it a tidy feel. The dark bar chair and the soft colors of the napkins and canisters help to soften the stark colors of this neutral kitchen.

Neutral Sectional in Blue Living Room

A palette of cool neutrals creates unruffled harmony in this transitional living room. Floor-to-ceiling curtains add height to the space, while a boxy sectional utilizes the corner of the room to its full potential. The glass and chrome coffee table adds a subtle gleam to the mix along with the metallic end table.

Country Style Living Room

As seen on HGTV's hit show Love it or List it, this beautiful country chic living room includes muted tones of turquoise and white to compliment the tones of nature present in the artwork on the walls. The long row of windows brings in an abundance of natural light, while the floral rug and the fresh flowers help to further bring the outdoor into this comfortable living room.

Relaxing Blue Bedroom

A light color scheme and tall window treatments make the room look and feel spacious. The bed is equipped with a hydraulic system to provide hidden storage space to keep things organized and out of sight, as seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, Too.

Neutral Tufted Bed

This new third floor master bedroom was created out of the home's previous attic area. The spacious room features two large closets, a walkout balcony, and ensuite bathroom with double vanities, soaking tub and glass shower.

Contemporary Living Room with Bright Accents

On HGTV's hit show Love It or List It, Hilary Farr has created this lovely living room with a contemporary design. The major colors are neutrals, but she uses bold accents to bring pops of color to her space with the colorful impressionist painting above the fireplace and the pillows with the chevron pillows and bright throw on the couch.

Contemporary Country Neutral Living Room

As seen on HGTV's Love It or List It, the new kitchen is located where the old, small living room previously was. The walls on the first floor have been removed, creating an open modern floor plan with views to both the living room and dining area. Updated kitchen cabinetry, new appliances, a decorative tile backsplash and the elongated central island make the new kitchen the center of life on the first floor. Finally, new window treatments, colorful pillows and updated recessed and pendant lighting give a modern and fun vibe throughout.

Night City Scene Bedroom

This new bedroom located on the second floor at the back of the home was previously the second floor bathroom and laundry area. The space has been transformed into a unique L-shaped bedroom with new wood floors, a large closet, bright wall colors, and an accent wall with a night city scene as wallpaper.

In each hour-long episode Realtor David Visentin and designer Hilary Farr compete for the homeowners' final decision to stay or go. David's insider perspective on the real estate market helps target listings to prospective buyers, but Hilary is determined to show homeowners that, within their budget, she can transform their worn-out house into a castle they can love.
