Season 4, Episode 6

Bringing Sexy Back

An artsy couple gets the kitchen of their dreams - a sexy, retro styled space complete with a lounge area and area to cook. To achieve big things in this tiny space, Alison has to make the most of what she has by extending the cabinets to the ceiling, covering a window with new cabinetry, re-structuring the seating area and building out an existing pantry using pipes and wood. To add style to the space, Alison brings in dark flooring and even darker gray cabinetry that matches exactly with the paint color. To spice up the cabinetry, Alison fills the upper doors with a DIY antiqued mirror project that causes a few headaches to figure out. A 3D reclaimed wood backsplash, surprise throwback refrigerator, built-in speaker system and re-furbished custom chairs make this kitchen a place where this couple can cook breakfast, have cocktails, entertain and hang out.
