Eyesore Overhaul

Mina and Karen are back in the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood with a brand new project. The home is in a fantastic location, is close to everything and has a ton of square footage. Despite its good qualities, however, the home is dirty, ugly and is going to be a heaping handful of a job. This eyesore has three colors of brown paint coating the outside and is a confusing labyrinth on the inside. A house this size will ultimately require more construction workers, more hammers and ultimately more danger. Will they be able to give this home a new floor plan that's perfect for single-family living?

Neutral Color Palette with Bold Wall Art in Guest Bedroom

As seen on HGTV's Good Bones, Mina and Karen used neutral gray and brown tones to create a sophisticated oasis. The neutrals keep the design calm, yet warm and inviting, while the patterns on the fabric adds a fun twist to an elegant design. To add color to this neutral palette, the duo added bold paintings and a colorful bird mobile to brighten the space.

Wright Street Home Office Chair

A comfortably padded contemporary chair offers a place to get cozy with a good book or take a phone call. Mina and Karen placed it in the home office of the Wright Street Project house.

Traditional Details in Masculine Master Bedroom

As seen on Good Bones, Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak add masculine details, such as the ornamental, metal bird cage and traditional accent wall, to create a sophisticated bachelor pad in this renovation.

Pantry Added to Large Kitchen in Restored Duplex

As sen on Good Bones, Karen and Mina wanted to create larger rooms throughout the first floor of this restored duplex, so they tore out the walls that separated the spaces, allowing for each room to be a little larger. The kitchen was no exception. This spacious layout includes plenty of counter space and storage, a bar and a pantry in the back of the space.

Open Concept Floor Plan in Elegant, Contemporary Home

To give more space to the living room, Karen and Mina, of HGTV's Good Bones, removed the walls that used to enclose the space. Now that the barriers are gone, this home has an open concept first floor with a line of sight from the living room into the dining room and kitchen. Each of these spaces, then received an elegant, contemporary design, creating a contemporary, updated space.

Contemporary Second Floor Guest Bathroom

As seen on HGTV's Good Bones, an elegant, contemporary full bathroom was added upstairs. This is the home's second full bath, and it contains a double vanity, tub, shower and shelves for storage.

Renovated Master Bathroom with Ornamental Mirrors and Pewter Vase

As seen on Good Bones, Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak added mirrors with an ornamental shape and a pewter vase to give this bathroom an elegant design. The neutral color palette reflects the natural light of the window above the shower and the artificial light above mirrors.

New Deck with Gray Furniture and Red Accents

As seen on HGTV's Good Bones, Mina and Karen created a functional, inviting outdoor space by building a deck onto the back of this newly residinged home. The team added stylish, modern furniture with pops of red to complement the gray of the siding and the furniture, making this new space warm and inviting.

Large Vanity with Mirror and Pendant Light in Remodeled Upstairs Bathroom

As seen on HGTV's Good Bones, the second floor bathroom that Mina and Karen added has a large double vanity-perfect for out of town guests. Hanging just above the vanity is a large mirror lit by a pendant light that completes the space.

Neutral Color Palette and Reclaimed Wood in Elegant, Industrial Guest Room

In this renovated guest bedroom, Karen and Mina repainted the walls and replaced the floors to give the space a fresh, neutral color palette. To create warmth in the space, Karen and Mina, of HGTV's Good Bones, used shades of brown, to make the room warm and inviting. They also added reclaimed wood accents and and an industrial chandelier to create interest and highlight the elegant, industrial design they were going for.
