A bold orange accent wall balances light gray walls and bright white bedding. New hardwood flooring and a modern ceiling fan complete the look, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block."
Adding a wood and wrought iron railing allows the condo's buyer to adapt the decor to both traditional or modern tastes, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block." Sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams kept the original, pebble-tile stair risers for added character but used bold color to bring the space to life.
As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, Amanda Marks and her boyfriend Curtis Goldin installed custom wainscoting around the master bedroom, creating cozy cottage vibe. Teal paint and crown molding complete the walls, while layered textiles in an array of graphic patterns adorn the room.
A black-and-white chevron rug grounds the living room seating area, which includes two comfy armchairs and a cream-colored, tufted sofa. Orange draperies create privacy and add color without blocking sunlight in this living room on HGTV's "Flipping the Block."
As seen on HGTV and DIY Network's Flipping the Block, Amanda Marks and Curtis Goldin had only $80 left to renovate their living room for the sixth challenge. Their big design decision was to take out the popcorn ceiling and expose the wooden subfloor of the second floor; the rest of the room was designed around that idea, with rustic pieces from Joss & Main, and under-stair storage and shelves made by Curtis.
