Taupe Living Room With Orange Drapes and Chevron Rug

Adding a wood and wrought iron railing allows the condo's buyer to adapt the decor to both traditional or modern tastes, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block." Sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams kept the original, pebble-tile stair risers for added character but used bold color to bring the space to life.

Taupe Living Room With Staircase and Rustic Cabinet

A storage sideboard fills the wall between the kitchen and dining area, offering space for media storage, shoes and more. An original painting by one of the room's designers, Shauna Williams, creates a high-end, art gallery feel, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block."

Gray Bathroom With Pedestal Sink and Rustic Wall Art

A space-saving pedestal sink and streamlined toilet make this small area seem more open and airy, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block." Reclaimed wood artwork and gray walls coordinate with the color scheme used throughout the condo.

Flipping the Block Unit B Living Room

An oversized chandelier is the centerpiece of the living room, illuminating the cozy cream-colored sofa and gray armchairs. A wooden header in the doorway between the living room and kitchen visually links the two spaces.

Refined Blue Living Room

What a transformation! Curtis and Amanda removed the drywall from the living room ceiling, then refinished the wood and cut off exposed nails to create a finished, open look.

A bold orange accent wall balances light gray walls and bright white bedding. New hardwood flooring and a modern ceiling fan complete the look, as seen on HGTV's "Flipping the Block."

Upholstered Headboard With Nail Head Trim

As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, Amanda Marks and her boyfriend Curtis Goldin layered textures and patterns to create a charming cottage-style master bedroom. The upholstered headboard features nail head trim – a subtle but elegant accent.

Stenciled Wall Art & Yellow Chevron Curtains

As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, husband and wife team John and Whitney Spinks created a midcentury modern retreat in their master bedroom in Glendale, Calif. They chose a bright white paint and then stenciled a herringbone pattern in graduated shades of aquamarine on two walls. Yellow chevron curtains provide contrast and additional pattern.

Flipping the Block Orange and White Master Bedroom

As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams created a mid-century modern theme in the master bedroom of Unit A on the Block in Glendale, California. The team had subcontracted out all of the construction work and focused their time and energy on the design of the room. A neutral beige/taupe wall color created a clean background for warm-toned furnishings and accessories, with orange, gold, and bronze used as accent colors. Classic baseboard finished the walls and made the room feel crisp and fresh.
