Pick a Key, Any Key

Each team randomly draws a condo key to determine their home's placement on The Block. The Red Team, Anicka and sister, Shauna, of New Orleans, La., chooses Unit A, which is closest to the road and driveway.

Each team will remodel the master bedroom first. The teams have a budget of $37,500 to spend on the entire renovation, but they can choose how much to allocate to each room.

The Red Team chose to spend 3,158.74 on their renovation, adding new hardwood floors, new drywall, an updated ceiling and a closet organizer. They opted to spend much of their budget hiring contractors to do the work, while they managed the process and overall finished look.

Though doing the work themselves saved money, it also cost them time. The brothers weren't able to complete the room's closet extension, baseboards or final touches.
