Season 16, Episode 6

Dated, worn farm kitchen becomes functional and fabulous

Deb and Greg were childhood sweethearts. His family had a large chinchilla farm and Deb was one of the local teens who worked there during the summer. Fast forward 22 years and Deb, Greg, and their 5 teenaged children are living in the house where Greg grew up and running the family business. Their home is a constant hub of activity and the kitchen is command central. A large family, and all the kids' friends means extreme wear and tear on this dated and dysfunctional kitchen. Deb loves to bake for the crowds, but with only two electrical outlets, the workspace is pushed into a small corner. The island has become a dumping ground; there is bad lighting; a lack of good storage; and the appliances have seen better days. This family of 7 wants to sit together at mealtime but also needs seating for friends. Deb and Greg love all the activity, but would love it more in a beautiful kitchen that's well designed, easy to clean, modern and cozy. Since the only thing that's not worn out is the invisible revolving door, this family needs Candice to turn this worn out country kitchen into a fabulous and functional modern space for many.
