All Tied Up

Jonathan and Drew are tied with two wins each as they head into challenge 5. Their mission? Transform the guest bedrooms and bathrooms in their spacious homes into hotel-worthy retreats.

HGTV Favorites on the Set

Designers extraordinaire David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks bring their expertise (and sense of humor) to the set as this week's guest judges.

Drew's Renovation

The good: Drew's spacious two-story home features two guest bedrooms and a spacious guest bath. The bad: The builder-basic home is in need of upgrades that buyers will love.

Drew's Guest Bedroom, Before

The perfect example of a DIY gone wrong, the previous owners created a striped hardwood floor with alternating planks. This too-bold and dated detail had to go.

Drew's Guest Room, After

A new muted gray floor creates a neutral foundation for this restful room full of bright touches.

Drew's Guest Room, After

Textured wallpaper creates a neutral but eye-catching focal point behind the bed.

Drew's Guest Room, After

Accents of pink, yellow and purple in the artwork, rug and accessories give this room a bright, modern feel.

Hallway, Before

Standard beige walls and tiles didn't make a much of a statement in the hallway leading to the home's guest rooms.

Hallway, After

New slate tile and soft gray walls ties this space in with the rest of the renovated upstairs spaces. A console table, artwork and an oriental-style rug give this hallway a lived-in feeling.

Drew's Bathroom, Before

Before the renovation, this bathroom was stuck in the early 1990s — and not in a good way.

Drew's Bathroom, After

New subway tile lines the wall behind the new double vanities, giving this room a modern, industrial look.

Drew's Bedroom 2, Before

Before the renovation, this second guest bedroom was a blank slate.

Drew's Bedroom 2, After

A charcoal gray base with bold accents, which ties in with the color palette used in the rest of this home's second story, gives this bedroom a modern update.

Drew's Bedroom 2, After

A bold striped wall is the focal point behind the upholstered headboard. Drew mixed large and small patterns here to create an interesting counterpoint.

Drew's Bedroom 2, After

Updated closet doors are no longer an eyesore; the dark gray paint ties in with the room's color palette.

The Judges Visit Drew's House

Jonathan's Guest Room, Before

Mirrors, wallpaper, pillows -- oh my. There was visual overload in this room before Jonathan's renovation.

Jonathan's Guest Room, After

Jonathan outfitted his first guest room for a tiny guest — or resident. An argyle wall pattern creates a whimsical look perfect for a child's nursery.

Jonathan's Guest Room 2, Before

Three words: So many florals! This room felt stuck in another decade before the renovation.

Jonathan's Guest Room 2, After

A calming blue wall hue and furnishings that correspond with the home's midcentury modern style create an inviting space.

Jonathan's Guest Room 2, After

Crisp white sheets and simple white trim keep this room looking modern.

A plush accent pillow brings even more blue into the space.

Jonathan's Guest Bathroom, Before

The guest bathroom in host Jonathan Scott's house before renovations that is still decorated in 1960’s vintage Vegas décor.

Jonathan's Guest Bathroom, Afrer

This room is now a relaxing oasis, thanks to the same calming blue color palette.

A modern vanity with black handles sits below a large mirro and statement lighting.

Jonathan's Guest Bathroom, After

A small table with bathing essentials sits ready for the first overnight visitor.

Jonathan's Guest Bedroom 3, Before

Guests would feel like they were going back in time in this over-the-top throwback guest room.

Jonathan's Guest Room 3, After

This large space has been completely transformed with bright white walls, hardwood floors and bold accessories.

Jonathan's Renovated Space

A soft throw picks up the color from the bold focal wall.

Jonathan's Guest Bathroom, After

An updated, muted guest bath juxtaposes the bedroom's bold hues. All-white furnishings near the entry make way for bright accents, like this modern print, in the updated space.

Another Win for Jonathan

Jonathan takes the prize this week: A private tour of David Copperfield's magical warehouse. That puts him in the lead. Jonathan: 3. Drew: 2.

Next week's finale — and sale — will determine season 4's ultimate champion.
