Jonathan Scott

Licensed contractor Jonathan Scott will lead his team of experts into the ultimate home renovation showdown against brother and seasoned agent Drew Scott's skilled team. Team Drew took home the season one win, but can Team Jonathan catch up and capture a victory?

Adi Shuruk | San Diego, Calif.

Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, builder Adi Shuruk found an early passion for renovation when he helped remodel his family home at age 10. Lured by the sand and surf of San Diego, Adi moved to the U.S. and has worked as a home builder, remodeler and designer for the last six years. With many home improvement projects under his belt, the craftsman is sure to be a threat in these areas of the competition. He says a lot of character and "good creative flow" are what make his designs unique.
Secret Strengths: Painting, installing drywall, tiling, electrical, pouring concrete, plumbing, framing, carpentry, using power tools, making custom furniture, woodworking, refinishing

Joe Schwarz | Tempe, Ariz.

Architecture may be his day job, but Joe Schwarz is serious about home renovation. As a project manager in Tempe, Ariz., with a degree in architecture, he works with and manages clients, and creates project designs and construction documents. A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Joe says he is irked when he sees projects not completed to standard, labeling his design style as "mid-century modern with clean lines."
Secret Strengths: Carpentry, making custom furniture, using power tools, woodworking

Peggy Tart | St. Louis, Mo.

Peggy Tart is a young mother and interior design student from St. Louis working as a visual display manager at a large home furnishings retailer. Although she has no renovation experience, Peggy works as freelance interior designer and says she is determined to achieve the career goals she has set out for herself. Known for her vision from a young age, she lets her personality shine through in her self-described "eclectic and bold" design style.
Secret Strengths: Space planning, coordinating fabrics, painting, accessorizing, repurposing, selecting finishes

Rick Schwarz | Phoenix, Ariz.

With a degree in landscape architecture and planning, Rick Schwarz is an architectural expert in Phoenix. His devotion to quality led him to completely renovate his own 1938 red brick home, restoring everything from tile and plumbing, to electrical and drywall. Rick's architectural expertise allows him to envision his plans in 3-D for precise spatial planning. This self-proclaimed hard-working perfectionist says he enjoys bringing the outside indoors and describes his design style as "contemporary with a dash of mid-century modern."
Secret Strengths: Painting, using power tools, selecting artwork, landscaping, masonry, tiling

Stayce Smith | Los Angeles, Calif.

Stayce Smith, a real estate agent from Los Angeles, says she renovates her clients' homes to appeal to buyers. While she doesn't make a living in construction or design, Stayce's talents have proven extremely helpful to real estate sellers. The single mom says she flipped her first house in 2006 for a profit after finishing all the updates herself. She says the biggest misconception about her is that, because she's little and blonde people assume she's not a contender. With her self-described take-charge attitude and design skills, Stayce says she knows how to play the game and can't wait to prove she belongs in the competition.
