The finished system in this home employs a full complement of interfaces — hard-wired, wireless RF and Wi-Fi — to control a wide range of audio, video, security and home automation functions. Find a home technology professional near you.
The full home integration encompasses eight zones of distributed audio (the eighth zone being for wireless headphones), eight zones of distributed digital video, nine audio sources, seven video sources, 80 zones of centrally controlled lighting, eight closed-circuit cameras, a 7.1-channel custom theater and two 5.1-channel surround systems.
The home's interior employs a lot of natural wood and stone, and the clients had a preference for low lighting with accents. The home integration team worked with the designer and client to create custom lighting scenes that would highlight stone and wood features such as the wood staircases, the cove ceiling in the kitchen and stone surfaces in the en suite bathroom.
Control elements in this system include four Crestron in-wall touch panels, six Crestron hand-held remotes, and full wired and wireless network access.
