Hide CaptionShow CaptionThe bathroom went from a 1980s relic to a wonderful selling feature. All About
The new granite countertop increases the value of the home, but because it was a remnant, it wasn't very expensive. The team saved a lot of time and money by painting over the wallpaper, and having the wallpaper underneath gives the walls a little texture. New lighting, mirror, sink and faucet all come together to make this bathroom sparkle.
In the master bedroom (not shown), the slanted walls and ceiling are painted the same color to make the room appear taller. Gone is the relaxation equipment and in are new furniture, bedding and window treatments.
Cost breakdown:
granite $300
lighting and accessories $627
furniture $554
bedding $152
paint $145
hardware $140
window treatments $77
Total: $1,995
