Townhouse Turnover

Now the kitchen is bright and modernized with an open, airy feel, thanks in large part to the removal of the bank of cabinets over the area that connects to the great room (now set up as a bar-style eating area). Installing the microwave cost nothing--the homeowners had just never gotten around to having it done--but it freed up priceless counter space. Adding a new overhead light fixture, plus a few pendant light fixtures over the new bar area creates ambiance and charm. A fresh coat of paint on the wall and cabinets, along with spray paint on the existing hardware are the finishing touches.
