Hide CaptionShow CaptionThe coloring in this space is too gloomy and the television is taking away from the beauty of the fireplace. All About
The greatest selling point in this living room is the fireplace, but right now all you see is the huge TV, large speakers and a stack of electronics. The room's dark colors and heavy window treatments are blocking the light and making the room feel depressing and gloomy.
In the dining room (not shown), real estate expert Brandie Malay thought the space looked unused and that the table was too small. She was also concerned about a shelf filled with large books hanging over the dining table. She didn't think anyone would want to have a meal at this table for fear the books would come tumbling down on their head.
