Although Linda Russell has a sharp eye for design and a love of old houses, she began her career as a hairdresser and beauty-salon owner. As her business flourished, she supplemented her income as a freelance hair-and-makeup artist for TV commercials and photo shoots. These experiences sparked an interest in design that subsequently led her to real estate sales in Montclair, N.J. In 2001, Russell created what has become a very successful home-staging business. Her natural design talent allows her to turn average homes decorated for everyday living into ready-to-sell works of art.
