Prepping a Houseboat for Sale

Before, this stateroom was not very stately, with its stained carpeting, paneled walls and busy bedspread. Now, it makes much more of a statement. New carpet, earth-toned bedding, painted paneling and light wood blinds help emphasize what this room has to offer. Potential buyers will not only be taken by the view, but they will also be taken by what's on the inside.

The main cabinet (not shown) used to be filled with passé paneling, dated furniture and dirty carpeting. Now, a neutral paint color on the walls and the ceiling help lighten up the space and make it feel larger. New window treatments and furniture add warmth and coziness. Burgundy accessories add verve to the room and new carpet makes it look like a real living room. Goodbye 1980s, hello 21st century!
