Joi and Joe Richardson want to upgrade their two-bedroom, two-bath condo to a house with a yard, but they need to get their current place open-house ready before they can sell. That's where the Designed to Sell team comes in.
Real estate expert Shannon Freeman is the first team member to see the house--and she is not impressed. She says it is an example of what NOT to do when your house is on the market. There is far too much going on in the living room, the kitchen is underwhelming, and the master bedroom and bathrooms need work.
Designer Lisa LaPorta agrees with Freeman and decides to focus her efforts on the kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom. Here is how she plans to do it:
Step 1: Stand out. Give this condo a unique style so buyers will choose it over other available units.
Step 2: Brighten the deal. Enhance the home's lighting so its value can shine.
Step 3: Polish it off. Take care of the little details that can add up to big returns.
Steve Hanneman and Brooks Utley are on hand to speed up the process of getting this house in order. See how everyone did below.
