Dwarf 'Ballerina'

Geranium cinereum 'Ballerina' is a beautiful, mounded, dwarf perennial that has gray-green leaves and large, purplish-pink flowers with purple veins and eyes. This geranium will thrive in zone 5a-7a and prefers full sun with regular watering.

Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' Is Useful in Rock Gardens

Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is a popular perennial for zones 4a-8a, grown for its blue, saucer-shaped flowers that bloom for many weeks. It is useful in borders, rock gardens and containers.

Classic Summer Zonal Geranium

Zonal geranium is a pelargonium and not a true geranium, though pelargonium and true geraniums belong to the same family. Zonal geranium is one of the most popular annual flowers named for the horseshoe shaped band of dark color in the leaves of most varieties. They are upright bushes covered with colorful flowers on long stems.

Meadow Cranesbill

Geranium pratense, or meadow cranesbill, is a medium to tall grassland perennial with deeply cut leaves and long, hairy and reddish stems. The flowers, which are out from June to September, consist of five unnotched violet blue petals. Grow from zone 5a-9a in full sun and well-drained soil.

Geranium 'Brookside' Produces Lavender-Blue Blooms

Geranium 'Brookside' produces lavender blue flowers with tiny white eyes and deep purple veining from spring through fall. Compact clumps of lacy green foliage provide wonderful background. In fall, leaves turn a vivid red-orange.

Purple Geranium 'Magnificum'

Geranium 'Magnificum' is a hardy geranium that has lots of gorgeous, magenta-purple flowers early in the season on a neat and very attractive mound of rich green foliage. Blooming often continues throughout the summer in cooler areas.

Pelargonium Hortorum 'Apple Blossom'

'Apple Blossom', a pelargonium hybrid, packs pink and white petals into umbels that resemble clusters of rosebuds. This pelargonium hybrid grows in full sun, and blooms in spring, summer and fall.

Geranium Nimbus Is a Hardy Prolific Summer Flower

A hardy geranium, 'Nimbus' is a prolific bloomer with five-petaled, finely-veined, violet-blue flowers with white centers that appear throughout the summer. It is compact with finely divided foliage.

Geranium phaeum, also known as Dusky Cranesbill and Black Widow, is a good plant for damp shade. Late spring and early summer flowers are deep purple, maroon or white. It will quickly spread to form a hummock of foliage that is excellent for suppressing weeds.
