Sonne Shields became hooked on construction after she worked on a cruise ship in Hawaii. After graduating from the Community College of Aurora with a certificate in carpentry, Sonne got a job working at a home improvement store. In her free time, Sonne says she enjoys a little friendly competition — she loves sports, especially swimming and volleyball. She currently resides in Aurora, Colo., with her girlfriend.
