When homeowners Donna and Eric Garfinkel bought their 1880s townhouse, they faced the big problem of how to combine the sensibilities of a modern-day bathroom with the timeless feel of a traditional home. In the master bath, they came up with a beautiful solution to the problem: restore and preserve all the older elements of the home and then counterpoint that by injecting a relaxed, spa-like feel.
