This beautiful living room had good bones to begin with, including high ceilings, a detailed fireplace, classic moldings, hardwood floors and French doors. Many people think a classic room demands the most classic of furnishings and accessories, but Tracee, D. Paul, Trish and Michael create an updated traditional room that blends modern, clean-lined elements. The deep blue paint color dramatically sets the tone for this living room, which manages to be both elegant and comfortable. Since rooms no longer need to be one singular style, classic architecture can easily blend with a zebra rug, silver-leafed bookcase backdrops and modern accessories, such as a block lamp and modern artwork.
