Offbeat America
Translucent House and More
Episode HOBA-206H

All About
Get ready for another wild road trip across America! This one starts in Minneapolis, where a family lives in a home with translucent walls. Next, it's on to New York City to meet a homeowner who has fashioned furniture and light fixtures from '50s chrome fins, headlights, taillights and even bumpers. Then, we visit a home near Pittsburgh, Penn., that's camouflaged as a giant rock and made entirely out of polyurethane foam! In San Francisco, we meet a woman who plastered every square inch of her walls with pencils and other office supplies. Finally, we meet a couple in Washington who have literally covered their yard with whimsical displays that look like they are straight out of a storybook.
