With a German mother and British father and a brother born in France, Marcus Hunt somehow ended up being born in Memphis, Tenn. Throughout his childhood, the Hunt family moved every four to five years, eventually bringing them to Georgia, where he graduated from Walton High School and earned a degree in consumer economics from the University of Georgia.
After a year in the advertising industry in Georgia, he decided to move out to California for a change. Within four years that change came in the form of the Michelin Man. He brought the character to life when cast in the memorable commercial campaign for Michelin Tires. This became the first in a series of fascinating TV and film characters animated by Marcus. Success in this area, as well as some commercial work, created the opportunity for him to purchase his first home.
He learned most of what he knows about carpentry, renovation and design through more real estate investments. Successfully flipping homes has brought him to this philosophy, "There is no better way to learn than to jump in and try it. That, or fix it when you've jumped too hard."
Marcus continues his entrepreneurial efforts in real estate and is currently working with friend and business partner, Russ Hemmis, on the renovation of two apartment buildings purchased this past year. An avid adrenaline junkie and a certifiable gadget guru, he can be found scuba diving, sky diving, rock climbing or snow boarding with his free time (what there is of it).
