AfterAfter: Once the broken hot tub is removed, the space opens up for new plants, furniture and accessories that combine to make the Fedail's yard beautifully functional.
Designer Jennifer Kaplan's plan calls for creating a grassy area for a relaxing bubbling urn where the existing broken hot tub is, putting shade-loving plants under the existing trees and an outdoor room under the pergola for entertaining. The new furniture includes lounge chairs, a buffet with a mirror over it to reflect candlelight and a seating area with comfortable chairs along with a large tiled coffee table resting on two large urns. Finally, Kaplan's twist on a hanging planter over the coffee table with candles will add soft lighting at night.
