All About
The owners of this new Long Island home wanted their new landscape to be a reflection of the interior and exterior architecture of the house — an English-garden design with hydrangeas, boxwood and ornamental grasses. They also wanted to screen out unwanted views on all four sides of the lot.
One of the challenges for landscape designer Barry Block was to make this small (1/4 acre) property feel expansive. He would also need to create an outdoor living area that would reflect the classic chic of the home's interior.
