Shannon's Garden

Country Style : Episode COS-506 -- More Projects »
Garden parties can be so much fun, especially in a country garden where you can just relax and go with the flow. But "relaxed" is hardly the word for a get-together in Shannon Quimby's crazy garden in Portland, Oregon. From the moment you set foot inside the front gate, you can tell this garden party is just a tad different!

The grill surround is a huge metal grasshopper fashioned out of parts from an old 1955 milk truck. The iron furniture is covered with pillows and old quilts when guests stop by. The arbor was made from garage doors, old siding, 2x6s and banister railings that used be part of her porch. The sign pole directs visitors to nearby antique stores.
