Relaxing Outdoor Retreat

Erika and Joe have been too busy planning their wedding to give their barren backyard much attention. They put in two new backyard decks and added a concrete patio, but now they aren't sure what the next move should be. They do know that they want a space where they can entertain as well as relax and unwind.

The new decks on each side of the house and concrete patio have created a lot of space to work with, but nothing is really tied together. That's where the 24 Hour Design team, led by Angelo Surmelis, comes into play. Design assistant Wanda Colón and carpenter Chris Ashe pledge to help Surmelis turn this couple's bare backyard into a sophisticated outdoor living space — in just one day.
