AfterWhen the owners of this new house look out their windows, they see a barren slope edged by an eroded gully. They want the drainage problem corrected, and they'd also like to make their yard more beautiful.
Our solution includes building a rock-lined culvert to direct water flows and eliminate erosion. We also tame the slope with a prairie-style garden inspired by nature, using masses of ornamental grasses.
Plant list:
wax myrtle
Miscanthus 'Gracillimus'
variegated miscanthus
pampas grass
Miscanthus 'Adagio'
Spiraea 'Anthony Waterer'
daylily 'Stella D'Oro'
sedum 'Matrona'
red twig dogwood
variegated Japanese iris
creeping jenny "Aurea"
Hawks-eye daisy
