A sisal rug with a painted border adds decorative interest to an outdoor deck.Materials and Tools:
3' x 5' plain sisal rug (or any natural fiber that hasn't been sealed)
lacquer masking tape
exterior latex paints
paintbrushes
Steps:1. Tape-off the desired border width (press edges down firmly) and paint in chosen colors. Be sure not to put the paint on too thick because a thicker area could crack and possibly break off as people walk on it. Let dry and remove tape.
