These competitors have a lot in common — they live in Spanish-style homes and they want Mediterranean front-yard gardens that will serve as another "room" where they can entertain or just relax.
But that's where the similarities end. Since artist Kimberlee Keswick works with bright colors in her paintings, she wants her garden to be monochromatic with the emphasis on texture and form. Next door her friend and neighbor Judy Brownstein wants color and lots of it in her Mediterranean garden. We've matched these neighbors with landscape designer Julie Milligan, who specializes in creating garden rooms and has won the Golden Trowel Award for her designs.
