Grass Sculptures
Many lawn grasses can be used to clothe abstract shapes due to their creeping, fast-growing habits. In this design cuboid, pyramidal, and spherical shapes have been covered with grasses to create a cluster of upright sculptures. Several of these shapes conceal fountains — water spouts out of their tops and runs down the sides, preventing the grasses from drying out and creating a verdant, lush, contemporary look. Grass species suitable for shady sites should be chosen for the sides facing away from the sun, and the turf would need to be replaced regularly to keep it looking fresh.
