Jones' art background plays a part as she decides between the three design plans, so after much thought she goes with her gut instinct and chooses landscape architect Dan Weedon. Glass is an important element in his design to brighten up the entrance. A panel of glass is cut into the door to allow light inside the house, and small glass panels are also added in the deck to provide a path of illumination with lights shining from below. The main focal point is the custom fountain made with a sheet of glass combined with a fire bowl for warmth and interest. Potted plants create a privacy screen from the street, and the new purple rails add a fun element to the deck.
