Gardening in Seattle

Mike and Linda Rackner live in Seattle, Wash., with their two little girls, Gabrielle and Marissa. Seattle is well known for its rainy weather, but this city by the coast is also surrounded by lots of lush natural beauty. They would like to replace the hedge surrounding the yard, which allows for no privacy from the street and the apartment building next door. In addition, they want a new area for gardening to replace the weed-filled planter beds in the center of the yard.
