Homeowners TJ Pierret and Rickey Young love gardening, and it shows in the lush plants throughout their Minnesota backyard. But there's nothing to do in their yard except work on the garden. They want to create an outdoor space that lets them actually enjoy their yard.

Rickey's a former pro football player, but this patio belongs in the pee-wee league. Tilted and tiny, it barely has room for a lounge chair and a small grill. TJ and Rickey want space to hang out with a design that reflects the modern style of their home's interior.
