Finished Backyard for All
Carolyn and Dale Preator are very proud of the renovations they undertook in their New-England-style home, but they are ashamed of the dirt piles which accumulated in their backyard during construction.

Although the couple's three dogs have been having a grand time playing in the dirt yard, the Preators now want to reclaim their backyard for themselves. They want a much more welcoming place in which to relax and entertain, and they'd also like it to be dog-friendly. Since the Preators recently refinished their pool and love it, they'd like the new landscape to tie in with the new pool and also the home's newly renovated interiors.
Dale is an enthusiastic chef so an outdoor kitchen is one of their top priorities. An outdoor fireplace would be an added bonus. To add a sentimental touch, the Preators also want their yard to include two decorative seahorses that they brought from their last home.
The designers ready to complete this backyard redo are landscape architect John Hourian, designers Patti Ferner and Paul Kroger, and designer Mitch Kalamian.
