After considering the three design plans, the homeowners choose Mark Brightwell, who adds warmth to the yard by staining the concrete patio next to the house. To enlarge the patio, he adds concrete pavers separated by rows of river stone and wooly thyme. A wall fountain flanked by potted plants and two Palo Verde trees is the focal point for the patio area. A custom iron trellis and honeysuckle vine covers the white lattice and stucco masks the ugly concrete wall. In the transition area, Brightwell creates a home for the barbecue that can be turned into a bar for entertaining.
