Lighting. With busy work and family schedules, a rooftop garden can't be enjoyed into the evening. And at that point, though, you won't be able to see the garden you've created, so get creative with outdoor lighting. Install lights that showcase plant specimens or light pathways. Solar-powered lighting is one easy option, especially if there's limited access to power on your roof.
